Vancouver Winter Olympics

A feature piece of the Province of British Columbia's exciting Olympic and Paralympic site.
Guests were dazzled by Ziptrek’s first outdoor urban installation. Perched above the law courts at Robson Square, guests were provided the opportunity to zip over 170 metres (550') across Robson Street. Guests zipped high above the crowds, an exhilarating journey six stories over Vancouver’s iconic downtown core!

The Experience

This unique endeavor provided visitors the opportunity to experience the thrill and exhilaration of ziplining – brought to prominence by North America's zipline pioneers. Switching the traditional backdrop of old growth forest, to cityscape, provided  an amazing and rare experience.  Not to mention the fact it took place at one of the key hubs of Olympic activity! Exclusively during the Olympics and Paralympics, and Free!

This actually represented Ziptrek's 1st urban installation, and went on to great fanfare with record line-ups, and publicity. During the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, this landmark public space served as the Province of British Columbia’s signature venue to showcase the many wonders of this province, and act as prime celebration site. It was indeed special, and a exceptional memory for all those that rode the zipline!
